- Back - After a long break I finally got around to upgrading the menu. Apparently there were some issues with functionality in Internet Explorer. This new design should solve those issues. 02/13/09 Recieved some interesting comments about the new design and how it seems incompatible with certain browsers. That being the case, I have been working on tweeking the 4.0 design to streamline the navigation and eliminate these browser specific problems. To that end I have adjusted the "Main" and "Introduction" pages - combining them into a single "Main" page. 12/09/08 Finished converting "The Probe" over to the new design - that means the site upgrade is finally done. Beyond Chaos v4.0 is now complete. Yay! 12/07/08 Still working on converting the first part of the Probe over to the new format. Got a little further today, hopefully will finish this off soon and the update will be complete. 11/29/08 Converted "Rifts" over to the new design. I started on converting "The Probe" - the text still needs a little tweeking though. 11/28/08 Took a little time off from the site upgrade. But now I'm back into it. I added "Reflection" to the new design. Also converted The Eltorian Incursion over to the new design. 11/18/08 Worked on "Reflection" a little bit. Still needs a little more work, and probably some new graphics. 11/16/08 Completed the Vehicle Gallery, which finishes off the Art section of the site. Started the Stories section, having completed the Tales of the EFS Normandy sub-section. Once the Stories section is complete, the new site version will be all done. 11/15/08 Finished upgrading the Rifts Gallery, the Normandy Crew Gallery, and the Probe Gallery. Part of the Vehicle Gallery has also been completed. 11/12/08 Adjusted Updates page and Site Info page. Redesigned exotriva section. Added 4 new entries to the Eltorian Incursion Gallery (Draconis, Jinx Madison, Neolord, Jonas Simbacca) and converted existing entries over to the new format. 11/11/08 Site re-design started today. This version of Beyond Chaos will use only minimal flash. Splash page, main frame set, and menu have been completed. Site information page and updates page have been upgraded. 3/27/07 Completed Carl Bennet's bio for the Probe gallery. Adjusted graphics for "The Probe" preface and introduction. 3/26/07 Completed the design for a new character Carl Bennet - the commander of Delta Squad. 3/25/07 Completed Tajun Lor's bio for the Probe gallery. 3/23/07 Completed the design for a new character, his name is Taejun Lor. 3/21/07 Added two new entries to the vehicle gallery, the VBA-1 Naetrone and the VBA-4 D'Raria. Newton's bio was also completed for the Probe gallery. 3/18/07 Designed a new character called Newton for the Art section. Also created graphics for two new Eltorian exoframes, entries for both to follow. 3/17/07 Completed entry for Tasha Sterling, as well as a new character, Craysta, in the Art section. 3/10/07 Completed entries for Maya, Arsis, and Iris Janson in the Art section. 3/9/07 Completed entries for Angela Merck, Jaster Lazine, Nicole Sharp, and Alex Camden in the Art section. The graphic for J'Nal's entry also adjusted. 3/8/07 Completed entries for Doug Logan and Pollux in the Art section. 3/7/07 Completed entries for Jaden Amari and J'Nal for the Art section. Also adjusted Bront Lerga's entry. 3/3/07 Finished graphics for two new characters today. Say hello to Pollux, an Omega Neosapian, and J'Nal. 3/2/07 Sketched two new characters today, they're not ready for the internet though - maybe tommorrow. 3/1/07 Another re-colored graphic, this one is of Angela Merck. I started working on Doug Logan, but then I remembered that I never really liked his picture. So I did a new one, check out the new Douglas Logan. Of course, now I will have to replace the old version throughout the site. 2/28/07 The re-coloring continues with Maya and Jaster Lazine. 2/27/07 Having misplaced most of my art supplies years ago, I was forced to color my recent creations digitally. I have to say that I actually like the look better than the old hand colored sketches. So much so that I have been re-coloring the other characters for their entries in 'The Probe' art gallery. The first batch of these include Tasha Sterling, Arsis, Alex Camden, Iris Janson, and Nicole Sharp. 2/25/07 Completed entries for James Sterling and Bront Lerga in the Art section. 2/23/07 I created a new catagory in the Art section for 'The Probe'. Not all of the entry links are live. There are also a few entry links I still need to add. 2/22/07 Another new character, this one is a Virgothan that goes by the name Jaden Amari. 2/21/07 I completed the design for a new character. Say hello to Bront Lerga, a reprentative of an alien race called the Ungularians. 2/13/07 Finished the narrative about Mulfa-Ne, the home solar system of the Eltorians. Read all about it here. 2/8/07 Finished the graphics for Mulfa-Ne, the home solar system of the Eltorians. 2/2/07 I have halted work on the next installment for 'The Probe', the reason is that I have taken the story as far as it can go without taking some time out to do some background research. This next installment will partly take place in the home solar system of the Eltorians. Therefore I need to read up a little on my astronomy so I can develop some new settings, characters, and species. 1/20/07 Just a quick note to say that I have resumed work on the second installment of 'The Probe'. Not sure how long it will take to get done, but I am a couple of chapters into the work. 8/27/03 New forums added to the site. 7/31/03 Adjusted most of the graphics on site to have a green border around them. Added link to the Beyond Chaos forums to the main menu. 7/30/03 Minor site adjustments made to various parts of the site. 7/20/03 Adjusted picture of Dirk Dagger and the Normandy Crew in the Art section. 6/15/03 Officially decided on this site's name today. Henceforth it shall be known as 'Beyond Chaos'. Also completed the splash page and added sound to the navigation menus. Work on the second part of 'The Probe' has offically begun. 4/15/03 Added the Resolute III entry complete with graphics. 4/11/03 Adjusted the EFS Normandy graphic to fit the new site format. 1/2/03 Finished the re-design of this site. All portions have been updated and in some cases enhanced. Additional work must still be done before publishing the site. 7/5/01: The first part of 'The Probe' is complete and ready for viewing. I have yet to start Part 2 but have put up the frameset that will house the story once completed. This first installment serves to introduce the characters of the 2nd generation while setting up the major plot line. Give it a read and let me know what you think. 2/4/01: Work has been sporadically progressing on the first installment of 'The Probe'. No estimate can be made regarding the release date at this time. Some minor changes have been made to the 'Stories' section. 8/28/00: After numerous failed attempts to decrease loading time, I have come to the conclusion that the fault lies with the Xoom server. Therefore J.P.'s Domain has been moved here to Tripod. This site has undergone a major design overhaul. Every section has an all-new look and feel to it. A profile of an Eltorian Baseship has been added to the Story Art section. 6/2/00: Work on 'The Probe' has halted. I don't know when I'll ever get around to finishing the first part (if ever). I closed down the J.S.C. some time ago. It never caught on and I didn't have the time to make it work, so away it went. Made a bunch of little changes to the site. Nothing major, just some little things I wanted to fix. 4/13/00: I've gone and contracted a major case of writer's block. So instead of writing 'The Probe', I've given the lead page a facelift, added a new section to the website, and added a guest book of my very own (please sign it!). 2/28/00: The Introduction to 'The Probe' has been added! Check out the newly adjusted 'Background' section too! Get to know the next generation of Exosquad heroes! 2/14/00: Two new members added to the J.S.C. roster. Reloaded some other files that were malfunctioning. Work has begun on 'The Probe'. 12/27/99: Made some minor adjustments to Rifts 3, Chapter 9. Now the links on that page work like they are supposed to. Also added a new story to the 'Tales from the EFS Normandy' section. Check out 'Survival' for a slightly different look at Crow Mengele, Sierra Three's communications officer. 12/10/99: At long last the final part of 'Rifts' is here! This is the largest story I have written to date, which partly explains why it took so long for me to write it. This is the last story in which I will use the entire cast of the 'Eltorian Incursion', so I decided to pull out all the stops and have them go out with a bang! Start reading to see what I mean. Also notice the J.S.C. link on the main menu. J.P.'s Domain goes in a bold new direction with the addition of the Jedi/Sith Community to its ranks. You can just join the Mailing List and take part in a discussion of all things Star Wars. Join today! We'd love to have you! 11/9/99: J.P.'s Homepage is no more, long live J.P.'s Domain! And say so long to Fortune City and its obnoxious blue advertising banners! In retrospect, Fortune City was a horrid server. The upload system never worked, the server would go down periodically, and then they went and made the those stupid banners always appear at the top of your webpage! Totally sucky! Looking to put F.C. behind me, I changed this site's name and moved it to Xoom. No longer constricted by stupid banners or storage limits, I am one very happy camper indeed. But enough about that, aside from the name change major portions of this site have been redesigned. Check out the changes to both the 'Exotrivia', 'Stories', and 'Story Art' sections. Exotrivia got a nice face lift that makes it harder to cheat on the test (not that anyone was, mind you). The 'Tales from the EFS Normandy' section of 'Stories' was upgraded with new graphics. And the 'EFS Normandy' gallery has been completely redesigned and has a new entry. I'm not saying who though, you'll have to find out on your own (its not obvious). Oh yes, still working on the last part of 'Rifts'. 10/10/99: Progress continues on Rifts 3: Dark Designs. In the meantime, Lt. Ratislav O'Muirdagh of the EFS Normandy has at long last been added to Normandy Crew gallery. Click on over to 'Story Art' to finally put a face to the name. 9/18/99: Progress on 'Rifts 3: Dark Designs' continues. In preparation for its inevitable completion, major portions of this site have been redesigned. Have a look around and tell me what you think! 8/18/99: Did a very minor rewrite on the second part of 'Rifts' so that the story works better. Added the Bio of Anthony Dirk to the 'Story Art' section and added Jessie Powers to the Normandy Crew gallery along with two new entries, Amy Hiatt and Ratislav O'Muirdagh. Robert Preston gets a new pict in that gallery and a story staring him in the 'Tales from the EFS Normandy' section. Also, be sure to check out the lower half of the main page for a preview graphic of the third part of 'Rifts' which is titled 'Dark Designs'. 8/2/99: Added a new 'Stories' section titled 'Tales from the EFS Normandy' which contains four stories that are also published on the EFS Normandy Homepage. 7/1/99: Added a new 'alternating' topbanner to the main page. Every time the page is loaded or reloaded, a random graphic from a group of 7 is selected and loaded. It's cool, try it! 6/25/99: Some graphics on both the Artwork and Story Art Pages were adjusted for improved presentation. Bios and pictures were added to the Story Art section for characters from the third part of Rifts. Take note that the third part has finally been given a name on the Stories Page. A picture of Anthony Dirk has been posted, but his Bio is still forthcoming. Also, the unofficial origin of the EFS Normandy has been posted on the Story Art page under the blueprint version of the ship. 6/8/99: Adjusted several 'Story Art' graphics for improved presentation. Also added two new Bios to the Introduction of 'The Probe'. Work has begun on Rifts 3, expect artwork from that section in the near future. In the meantime, check out my most recent work over on the EFS Normandy Homepage. There one will find three all-new stories: 'Skirmish', 'Climbing Mt. Selene', and 'The Price of Silence'. Access the Normandy Homepage through the link on the Normandy graphic page in the 'Story Art' section of this website. 4/25/99: Added a new picture to the Story Art Gallery. Click on 'Alien Craft' to see it. Information about it is purposely vague, but all will be revealed when 'The Probe' eventually gets published. 4/20/99: Test your knowledge of the Exosquad Epic in the new Exo-Trivia section of this website! 4/6/99: J.P.'s Homepage has moved to Fortune City! Some adjustments were made too. No more 'Links and Things' or 'J.P.'s Photoalbum'. I never updated them anyway, so I dumped them. An update page was also added, which you obviously know because you're reading this. The picture of Captain Tom Jose was adjusted as per request of his creator. You can see the new version in the 'Story Art' section under 'EFS Normandy Crew'. 3/6/99: The second part of 'Rifts' is here! Twelve new graphics added to the Exo-art gallery featuring characters from this part of 'Rifts'. Also, two new bio-cards were added to the Introduction of 'The Probe'. |
