Sterling

Since the Eltorian War, Sterling has left the military, gotten married, and settled down on the planet Venus. For a time he was a farmer. But after a few years, he grew tired of it and decided to go back school where he obtained three PhD's in theoretical physics, engineering, and biology. Since that time, he has worked at a number of colleges and universities on Earth as a temporary faculty member. Since his wife still lived on Venus and would never consider moving, Sterling began to search for a job there. Finally finding one at Vesta University, he now works a short distance from his home.

Lately, Sterling has focused his efforts on a joint project with Professor Algernon of the University of Chicago. The two have been exploring ways to prove the existence of parallel dimensions. Due to the fact Algernon possesses a strong dislike for teaching (he feels it wastes his time because it takes him away from his work), Sterling now has the duty of lecturing on their findings at various institutions on Earth, Venus and Mars. He does not mind because the lecturing tours last, at most, a week per planet. He also secretly enjoys the attention he receives when he speaks. Weather it be his status as a war hero, or the content of his lectures, he never speaks to an uncrowded room.

Sterling is an Eltorian/human hybrid. As a result, he possesses supernormal strength, speed, and agility. His metabolism is highly efficient, allowing him to go for longer periods of time without food or water than a normal human being and heal from injuries at an accelerated rate. He also has the ability to generate a bio-energetic field over any body part. Thus, he is able to disintegrate almost anything he touches. In addition to his physical attributes, Sterling has a genius level I.Q. and a near perfect memory.

With his military days behind him, Sterling was sure his adventures had come to an end and he looked forward to a peaceful life as a civilian. However, it seems that fate has conspired against him and his greatest adventure still lies ahead.
