Shanita      Shanita is seen here wearing one of the standard uniforms of an officer of the Eltorian Guard. An officer's uniform is denoted by its black color with red trim. Those not in command wear red with black trim. Also note the Eltorian Guard insignia near her right shoulder. The bar near the inverted triangle indicates an officer's ranking. Non-ranking guardsmen wear only the inverted triangle.      Shanita is an expert pilot and hand-to-hand fighter. She has the average strength, reflexes, stamina, and metabolism of an eltorian who engages in regular, intensive exercise. By normal terran standards she is super-humanly strong. She is generally considered to be a competent and deadly warrior. Shanita is also noted for being more open-minded than most Eltorians - putting trust in one's ability and character over innuendo and rumor. As such, she held no malice towards Taqueza because he was half human and was willing to get to know him as a fellow soldier. The two became fast friends and Shanita has been trusted with some of his deepest secrets. While Taqueza's enhanced physical attributes were common knowledge, only she knew of his ability to generate a bio-energetic field. Though there have been signs that Taqueza may have kept some things even from her. Many members of the Guard have thought the two of them to be lovers. While both have hinted at the possibility, the exact nature of their relationship remains a secret to all but them.
