HISTORY:
A member of the Omega Brood, Pollux represents the last generation of Neosapians to emerge from a brood center. But now that the next generation of Neosapians have been born and raised, Neosapian culture is in the midst of its very first generation gap. On one side is the new generation (sometimes called Alpha Omegas). These are Neos that were born from parents and raised to adulthood. On the other side, are Neos like Pollux - who emerged full grown and consequently never experienced childhood. Some of Pollux's generation tends to believe that the gap is primarily due to their progeny's Terran relations. The reasoning being that the new generation found it had more in common with their Terran counterparts than their actual parents. This had fostered the concept of "The Stolen Generation". Though not universally accepted, the concept has found an audience with many. Opponents of the theory are quick to point out that there is no actual theft involved, but rather an actual evolution and subsequent humanization of the Neo race. They cite a speech, made by an influential Neosapian, that stated that the Omega Brood needed to be created because "Only then can we be truly human." Thus the counterpoint became known as the Neo-Humanization. Though this issue continues to be hotly debated, tensions have eased in recent years. Some sociologists have pointed to emergence of Neo/Terran hybrids as the source of this pacification. It has been more or less stated that with this new ethnic group the focus of debate has shifted away from Alpha Omega versus Omega to Neo versus Hybrids. Unlike many of his broodmates, Pollux has chosen to remain single. Though he has his reasons for this decision, he has not yet shared them with anyone.

Despite his association with Exofleet being relatively recent, Pollux is one of the eldest members of Delta squad. He joined the military in the hopes of broadening his cultural experience. His personality and demeanor are similar to the type ascribed to the Alpha Brood - logical with a generally calm exterior. Prior to his career in Exofleet, Pollux worked as an engineer and designed many of the civilian transports currently in use in the Sol System. While at the academy Pollux immediately stood out due to his superior understanding of E-frame technology. By the time he graduated from the academy he was considered one of the most promising exotechnologists in his class. Pollux is pleased with his assignment to Delta Squad as it will afford him exposure to new alien technology and hopefully enhance his understanding of both Terran and Extraterrestrial culture.
