Jared Mathison       Jared Mathison is member of the Jumptroop, Charlie Five. He is the squad's communications specialist. Though not as gifted with machines as O'Reilly, Mathison is capable of operating, fixing, or hotwiring any communications system in the solar system. His Ultra Light Communications E-Frame was built for function, not firepower. As such, Mathison is not as well armed as most other Jumptroops when he goes into battle. But then again, most other Jumptroops don't carry 90 pounds of communications equipment on their back. Despite the limitations of his exo-armor, Mathison has proven himself a capable and dependable fighter time and again. In his free time, Jared can usually be found in the company of his squadmates, particularly Ellen Wright and David Poedowski. More recently he has been known to spend time with Able Squad's Field Sargant, Rita Torres. The two appear to share a special relationship that could easily deepen into something more. As to whether Jared will pursue this, only time will tell.
