Mack Erikson was born and raised on Earth. He grew up in Colorado and learned to fly at a young age. As he grew into a young adult, he applied to and was accepted into Exofleet Academy. It was there that he learned to fly e-frames. During the middle of his education, the Neosapian War broke out. Receiving only basic military training, Mack joined the terran resistance and served as an assault pilot for duration of the war. He bounced around between assignments for a large portion of it. Ending up in places like Australia, Europe, India, Brazil, and eventually back to where he started in the Midwest of North America. His various tours of duty forged him into a skilled pilot, though his use as a ground operative became rather limited.Once the war ended, Mack decided to return to Exofleet Academy and complete his training. It was then that he met Sue Worthington and Stan Remes. Both of which became his friends. The three of them were assigned to the Resolute II. Of the three, Mack had the distinction of being the most skilled and experienced pilot. His open, friendly nature made him easy to get along with, though he often had difficulty appraising situations that didn't involve e-frames. This was probably the reason he never noticed that Sue Worthington had, at one point, desired a more than friendly relationship with him. She had been attracted to him by his personality and the fact that all his tours of duty in the resistance made him seem more 'worldly' and cultured than she. Mack is most often in the company of Stan and Sue. Though he likes to hang out with Sterling too, he is somewhat envious of his superior physique. Spending all of his fighting time inside his green exofighter has taken its toll on his body. This makes Mack the least physically fit of his friends. But as he is quick to point out, "We're Exotroopers! When will we ever have to fight without our frames?" |
