Anthony Dirk

Anthony Dirk was born and raised in New York City. Coming from a long line of distinguished police officers, it was always assumed that Anthony would one day be a policeman himself. Anthony, however, had ideas of his own. Captivated by the prospect of adventure and planetary travel, he decided in his early teens that he wanted to join the Exofleet. Anthony's family wouldn't hear of it and so he was forced to apply to Exofleet Academy without their knowledge. However, his secret was discovered and he was forced to withdraw his application.

Some time later, Anthony buried his desire to join the Exofleet and applied to the local police academy. Naturally, he was accepted. He served with distinction and rose to rank of detective, at which time he transferred to a precinct in Chicago. While in Chicago Anthony took the time to get acquainted with the e-frames used for riot control and S.W.A.T. maneuvers. He took to them quickly, having rekindled his desire to get into Exofleet. Circumstances were different from when he was child though. Anthony may have been in charge of his life, but now he had to weigh his childhood dream against a promising carrier as a Police Detective. The decision would remain in limbo for close to two years. The event which brought everything to a head being the declaration of war against the Pirate Clans by the Homeworld Senate.

His decision made, Anthony turned in his badge and signed up as an Exotrooper. He served aboard an exofrigate for the duration of the conflict against the Pirate Clans. One year after the beginning of the Neosapian War, that exofrigate was destroyed. Anthony then found himself stationed on a variety of different vessels for the majority of the war. It was towards the end of the conflict that he was promoted to Sergeant and stationed on a pirate-made carrier.

When the Eltorian war began, Anthony served aboard the Resolute II as a member of Gamma Squad. As such, he and the rest of Gamma helped Able Squad defend Charlie Five's boarding shuttle during the Battle of Chaos. At the end of the war, Able squad underwent some restructuring as some of the older pilots either retired or moved on to new assignments. Anthony was suggested as a possible new member. And after serving for a short while as a replacement pilot, Lt. Kaz Takagi officially requested he made a permanent member of the squad.

Anthony currently serves as Able Squad's Field Sergeant and flies a green Field Sergeant e-frame. He is both a capable flyer and leader. Generally warm and friendly, he does not fit the traditional profile of a Field Sergeant. Once the action starts, however, he quickly replaces warmth with an unshakable cool and his friendly nature becomes something akin to a boot camp Drill Sergeant on a bad day.

Though the newest addition to Able Squad, Anthony Dirk is respected for both the skill he possesses and the unique experience he brings with him.
