HISTORY:     All societies have what would be called fads. The latest Eltorian fad is called Retro-Terran. In the late 20th century, Terrans were fond of broadcasting information using satellite networks. However in transmitting information around their globe, the people of Earth never really gave any thought to random signals that traveled beyond the reaches of their planet. Some of these signals would reach distant star systems, and in rare cases those systems had the technology to detect and reconstruct the original signal. Mulfa-Ne was one such system.     In the period following the Eltorian War, the members of Eltorian society became curious about this new species called Human. This fascination led to the detection of these old signals and the trend formed soon afterward. Many members of Eltorian society learned multiple Terran dialects. Civilian fashion started to adopt certain Terran motifs. And of course, the tourist trade opened up. As with any trend, there are those who embrace it and those who disregard it. Craysta is most definitely the former as opposed to the latter.     Having grown up on Kultoria, her parents always encouraged Craysta to pursue things that interested her. Combine that encouragement with the impressionable nature of youth and it is easy to see why Craysta is so fascinated with Terran culture. Craysta speaks multiple Terran languages including English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, and Farsi. She tries to be as familiar with Terran social customs as possible. Unfortunately, her information about Sol is quite old and she has a tendency to use expressions and gestures that, while common in Mulfa-Ne presently, are no longer used in Sol.     Craysta joined the Eltorian Guard as part of the government's mandatory service. While at the Academy on Eltoria, she began to inquire about the possibility of being deployed in Sol. It was at this time Craysta discovered the Extraterrestrial Diversification Program (EDP). The EDP was a program designed by Exofleet to promote cultural awareness with alien species. This would be accomplished by having alien soldiers take on assignments within Exofleet. The moment Craysta heard about the EDP, she knew it was for her. It then became her driving focus to be accepted into the program. With a little hard work, Craysta would accomplish her goal. Presently she is anxiously waiting to assume her new postä aboard the Resolute III.
